Stats aren’t everything as England, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Southern Brave, Joburg Superkings will testify. At the very least we could have asked him to stay on a white ball contract!? Good riddance to bad rubbish as far as im concerned. To tell your coach you're not fit enough to play and then go and play in the hundred (something John actively hates) i dont want you at my county. I'd forward the Groin op bill to Edgbaston too. He's bought himself out of his contract like Brown did and theres nothing you can do to stop that but his trust fund must have taken a hit. |

Based on his contributions since 2020 I’d rather have the salary saving to spend elsewhere. What’s more concerning is the ongoing trend of losing our experienced players. Hopefully that stops here.

Exactly, however is he an experienced player? He has played 132 matches in all formats since he debuted in 2016 thats 16.5 games across 3 formats a year and given the extensive list Joe provided of clubs hes played for youd assume this would be much much more especially given you can play upto 36 games a season alone just for Sussex. |

Money can be better spent elsewhere. We need players committed to Sussex. Sadly George wasn't.
Garton won't play 50 overs as he is playing in the hundred so that only leaves the Twenty20.

How does buying yourself out of your contract work? If you want to leave the club but the club wont agree to release him, you can buy the value of your contract out. |

What does upset me is a bloke refusing to play for the county i love and he deserves said malice. |
