Nash and Wright must give us a good start tonight. We are very reliant on those two performing.

Hhs,
"very poetic..."
When Nash and Wright bat the opposition into a spin, Sussex generally tend to win. For Mahela can be a failure, Tymal is a flowering dahlia, Yet Nasher and Wrighty play with NO cha-grin!

On the forum the members where chatting about the strength of the Sussex Sharks batting It relied on Luke Wright and Nash to give it a bash we've come along way since the days of Joe Gatting.

The Sussex CCC Twitter tweets about tonight: "We're absolutely SOLD OUT..." : Gates open at 5pm. : Match starts at 6.30pm and not 7pm. : Jordan and Mahela are in the squad. : And it's Tymal Mills birthday today. What an opportunity to take a fifer and for the 5,500 crowd to sing him HAPPY BIRTHDAY as Sussex join Finals Day on August 29th. : This could be a top top night - already oiling a squeaky bum in preparation.

Amazing, the opera singer and Sussex supporter whom I met at the Hubert Doggart lunch on July 21st and then mentioned on the WickedCricket blog is singing GOSBTS at the ground at 6.15pm.
An event not to be missed!

Soundcheck complete - relaxing before singing #GOSBTS at 6.15pm. Come on you Sharks! @sussexccc

Don't let Willey out of the ground until he agrees to sign for Sussex next season! Release Zaidi, Liddle and Piolet and use their wages to sign Willey. Although I suspect he may end up at Yorkshire. All 17 other counties will be interested in signing Willey and so Willey be able to sign for whoever he wants.
Why was Beer taken off when he was bowling so well? Jayawardene and Nash batted well. Bailey, Jordan, Wright, Liddle, Mills and Yardy were absolute rubbish tonight.
Some of Joyce's comments regarding Beer tonight make his non-selection in the championship all the more baffling. 11 games without a win for Sussex.
Sussex have been absolutely annihilated tonight! Changes needed to be made starting with the coach and captain.

Joyce's position is untenable and his involvement with/performance on Sky tonight nothing short of obscene.

Well, amongst all the utter bulls**t, or poetry as it's commonly known, Willey has bludgeoned his way to a ton and won Northants the game almost single handed (3-27 off four weren't bad either). Yeah he'd be a good signing. Maybe we could swap him with CP's three plus Robbo and Joyce. Be a good deal I reckon. A win at home against seemingly the weakest team in the QF, with two OS turning out, was a must. At least it would be if I were the Head Honcho.
As Comic Book Guy would say: Worst, season, ever.
