Why am I constantly frustrated by the club's 'systems'?! I've just tried, in vain, to book tickets for this match over the phone, as invited to do so on the club's website.
When the phone is answered, all I'm getting is a recording of general information, no-one answers the phone, and the voice eventually says goodbye. I tried this twice. Then I tried the club's 'general' number - same response. Then I realised, BTW, that these were 0844 numbers, so I am being charged for these abortive phone calls. On reflection, why does the club feel entitled to charge 0844 prices to its members?
Fed up with this, I then accepted the website's invitation to book tickets online. I tried this twice, but it would not let me choose my seats, despite inviting me to do so.
Can anyone please tell me, firstly, where I am going wrong, and secondly, how do I buy tickets over the phone? This is a poor advert for the club.

The clubs twitter feed is advertising Mills and Liddle taking the calls.
I can only presume that Mills can sell tickets very quickly but only for a short amount of time which may explain your problems.

Boom! Stonewall's on a role. Or roll, whatever, I don't care. Nice work from Deepextracover too. Comedians all over the shop tonight. Nothing of any use though eh Flash. Why don't you PM Jim May and tell him your troubles? Sounds absurd and infuriating, I would have smashed my phone to pieces, after screaming some blasphemy at the ceiling, but that's probably just me.

Ed Joyce was also meant to be on the phones, but unfortunately got called away for a stint in the Sky commentary box...

Will Beer was available to sell tickets, the system was perfect for his sales technique and there was a high demand for his style of salesmanship, however the club bought in an older expensive version from another county who didn't sell as many tickets.

Northants in ominously good form in the run up to this one, unlike us Must be fancying their chances Presumably we've recalled Jaya for this one

Northants have warmed up really well for this and will be no push-over.
They've absolutely thrashed a spineless Kent by an innings in two and a half days in Div Two's 'Destitution Derby', despite resting four of their best players, Willey, Keogh, Kleinveldt and Rossington, ahead of the q/f on Wednesday.
Those who did play have earned themselves an extra day and a half's rest. The squad now has five and a half days off before the q/f , while Sussex face a tense four days at Lord's in what looks like being their most important game of the season.
What's more Northants now have real seam bowling selection problems of the opposite kind to Sussex - their seamers were superb in taking 20 Kent wickets in 129 overs, but they now have to drop two of them to get Willey and Kleinveldt back into the side.

Can they lend us a couple. Who's favourite to get Willey Wonker come September?

Mahela and George Bailey both available for tomorrow's match. Which is great news!

Piolet to miss out and a choice between Mills and Robinson.

That is good news, especially about Jordan because the bowling's where we keep letting ourselves down in the one-day stuff. Bit of a reverse in the Champ but hopefully Jordan can help boost the side in that too.
Top six of Wright, Nash, Jayawardene, Machan, Bailey and Cachopa (or Brown) looks promising.
