I think that's right, but I wouldn't agree with him. Machan was fortunate to have the Scotland option open to him so he could play some competitive cricket to show what he could do, because it's taken an eternity for him to become first choice for Sussex. The guy is 24 and only just cemented his place. A fair few young cricketers would have given up by then. Meanwhile Robbo has signed a large number of trialists and imports that have done nothing for a couple of matches. Finch for example played two 50 over games last year, got an unbeaten 90 off 50 and has only just now played his first game of the season in that competition. We have two local wicket keepers and he gives the gloves to a part time keeper from NZ who hasn't scored any runs. There's the obvious Beer fiasco. If we're getting relegated and have little choice other than to rely on our youngsters next year then Robbo isn't the man to coach us.
