It seems only reasonable to open a thread for him; who knows how long his emergency short-term contract might last for? www.sussexcricket.co.uk/news-1/overseas-signingPresumably he's surplus to requirements for Royal Challengers Banglaore and won't be expected to play if the club progresses to the finals of the IPL, unlike Chris Jordan. His one innings this year was 5 not out and his 4 overs went for 49 runs, wicketless. Sounds a great catch.

The club has used it's usual 'new signing' template - "Sussex are delighted to announce the signing of . . . " Using a thesaurus might avoid any suggestion that press releases are produced robotically.

The club has used it's usual 'new signing' template - "Sussex are delighted to announce the signing of . . . " Using a thesaurus might avoid any suggestion that press releases are produced robotically. It is better than our former external marketing agency who said after the double header at Easter "we have just enjoyed an excellent couple of days racing"! Monday was abandoned and Sunday's crowd was significantly affected by the weather.

He fits the bill. That in itself is a sign of progress. Good work.

Well bowled David Wiese, a very useful debut. Interestingly, why was he scheduled to bat behind Chris Jordan, when he has a better average, and a better strike rate than CJ? I don't think Jordan has even scored a fifty in this competition, has he?

He's off for now. So any ideas on a replacement allrounder until the ellusive one gets here?

I quite like the idea of Anderson. (Very) big hitting lower order batsman that bowls tidy seam up. Get Taylor to put in a word?

Faulkner would strengthen us massively. Stoinis plays with Wright at the Stars so them two opening the batting could be a possibility. I suppose it depends how much we are willing to spend.

Thank you David for time and effort at Sussex. He is an example to the Fizz of the professionalism needed to represent a county as overseas player.
