It does seem to be the Sussex way: "Nothing we can do about it; whatever happens, happens"

20 wickets in four days is pathetic. These sort of pitches will kill cricket. GET SOME PACE IN THE PITCH PDQ!

Fraudster - 15 wickets in three days that's the problem! My money is on the draw. My prediction is for Glamorgan to reach 293-7 when they shake hands. Good effort - the prediction, that is. A few runs out, a wicket out and a few minutes out. You must feel tempted to type "I told you so".

So what sort of wicket did we prepare for this match? A result wicket - clearly not. A wicket on which our four spinners could wreak havoc - clearly not. Were we going for the draw from day 1? Any ideas, guys?

Damn it CP, you did give the team talk didn't you. I hope you mentioned your performance related salaries. I'm mighty p****d off at this, Glam are pretty poor even in this division so this is damning. Woeful.
My view on the track is that the groundsman has been telling us we are trying to produce fast pitches over the last three years and three years later, this was the pitch we played on. It's defensive, negative and poor. I can't get my head around the point of it.
Despite that, our attack has been toothless all year and we need to make changes, as far as I'm concerned. Firstly, Garton. He was our biggest wicket taking threat before he was 'rested' so he needs to come back, regardless of the ill-founded view of a certain poster whose name I won't mention, Borderman, that playing him in four day cricket, again, will ruin him - nonsense.
Secondly, Jordan. Surely after this T20 tonight we will see a good run of Jordan in our four day team. Has he even played a four day game since last September - it can't be many but he's playing less for his county than somebody who plays all forms for England.
Finally, and most importantly, our overseas. If we want to go up we need a match winner. They are rare, as are wins this season and the man who can make all the difference is Chawla. He would have won us this game today on any pitch. If we wanna go up we need him. Machan can do Taylor's job, but quicker according to the stats, so we've no issues there. Plus Finch really should be playing more in this division.
Joyce Nash Wells Finch Wright Brown Jordan Chawla Garton Whittingham Mags
If we can put this team out, we will win matches. Note that I only favour the five bolwer route now, or when, Wright and Jordan are available at the same time.

Here we had a pitch with no pace, no bounce and no spin. How exactly were we supposed to get a result inside eight days? Substitute Finch for Machan. Chawla's not the answer. I would bring back Machan and Robinson, assuming he is available and not ruled out for injury or disciplinary reasons, otherwise I would pick Garton. I am assuming Jordan isn't available otherwise he is another seam bowling option. The Beer and Briggs experiment didn't really work.

Ya reckon. Chawla is the answer, of course he is. Your answers do nothing that haven't already been done. You're like the sleep-walkers who have been calling the shots for the last five years - nothing there.
