The best way for Archer to silence his critics is to play in the next Test and take a fifer in both innings.

Can you not find an example of the racism he speaks of? Don't tell me he's jumped on that band wagon.

I saw this on the BBC website. This is going to be, I believe, his third lay-off with the same injury. That's not good news for any quick bowler.

He's got Archer's elbow. Hood had it. Couple of other dandies had it too but you don't really here about elbow injuries these days. Apart from tennis elbow, which I assume only tennis players get.

There is something not quite right in the Archer body. His prolonged elbow injury, which means he may miss much of the IPL and concurrent England matches. Now we discover he badly cut his right bowling hand in January when cleaning his Hove property which requires further treatment. His on-going tweets about a possible 'up and down' relationship with a ladyfriend (unless married it must be very difficult for any England player to keep one going when you are away from home and stuck in a Covid bubble for so many months), missing his dogs, the accusations of Archer not trying hard enough, which he quite rightly and strongly refutes. Since bursting on to the international cricket scene, it has not been easy for him. I just hope young Jof has the determination and will-power to overcome these difficulties. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/56548248

It must have been a large shard from the damaged fish tank to cause this damage (see plastered right hand). And how come young Jof was unable to take out the glass splinter in the first place?

It's a surprisingly common reason for hospital admission, a retained foreign body from an injury like that, particularly with glass.
It's tricky enough to get a wood splinter out by yourself sometimes, it's even harder when you the splinter material is transparent and very sharp!

The never ending media circus surrounding young Jof continues. Will he be fit enough for the second half of the IPL?
