It’s a great shame, reminiscent of the misfortunes that befell Simon Jones. Hope he somehow manages to stay optimistic and comes back fit and firing next year.

Sadly, he'll never play again. His body has barely managed training for a year now. He breaks down when he bowls 4 overs every few days. There's no way he can manage continuous spells of 5-7 overs in red ball cricket day after day. Joe Root has blood on his hands.

Wonder if he will play red ball for us next season as part of his rehab.
Afterall surely England will want him for the Ashes.
Archer, Seales, Robinson, Carson and, er, FHP. Not too shabby.
