It’s a tough gig professional sport.
I do hope there’s a way back for him even if it’s just limited overs, such a talent.

Unfortunately Jof has now been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his lower back and will miss the whole season.
So many England quicks are crook at the moment it makes you wonder how the ECB are actually looking after them!?

Tragic, absolutely tragic.
A shattered career and one that may now be over, internationally, at least. Really feel sorry for Jof.

Will we see him on a cricket field ever again?

That is good news. Hopefully his elbow transplant will be a success. I offered mine but it wasn't a match - too pointy.
I dunno who wrote that but someone needs to tell them that in FC cricket the important number is the average, not the economy. Wasn't you was it Gordy? Had a promotion by any chance? Gone from the kettle to the computer? Good for you.

The only problem with this is whether or not his central contract will be renewed. If it isn’t we’ll be lumbered with a massive wage bill.
If he recovers he’ll play for England, if he doesn’t he won’t play for England or Sussex. Bit of a lose lose for us.
Nothing I’d like more than to see him steaming in from the Cromwell road end again but this is looking more and more unlikely. I haven’t seen anything on social media to even suggest he’s turning his arm over yet.

No sexyout, unless his IPL side release him to play for us.

Delighted Jofra is back and bowling again. He is young enough still to rekindle his career, but another major injury, I fear, might be sufficient to end it once and for all.
Goodness knows, mentally, how he has coped since 2019. Certainly, he is someone who does not enjoy the limelight and likes to be in the background. Perhaps, that is what Jofra needs to work on as much as his physical condition. Dealing with the media pressure.
For if he regains full fitness, starts to bowl as fast as he did before, and takes pivotal wickets, the journalists will once again be on his back and emblazon his name around the cricketing world.

Not sure that’s true WC. Following him on Instagram as I do he seems to enjoy the limelight whether it’s in a box at Old Trafford being photographed with all the players or in the pits at the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix etc. He doesn’t exactly shy away from the cameras from what I’ve seen. He also doesn’t mind spending his money on gold, designer clothes, cars etc and showing them off.
It’s great to see him back bowling but I think it’ll be a while yet before he’s ready for Test cricket. Perhaps some white ball stuff to start with.

Jofra made a successful comeback playing for MI Cape Town in a 20/20 match. Took 3-27 from his 4 overs , including a wicket maiden and reached speeds of 90mph + . 🤞
