Wells out scores Finch. Clearly a man in form. A triumph for the batting coach.

If this was a club game the skippers would be calling in fake scores and taking two days off... Sounds like the boys are going for some sort of slow bike race on the scoring front. Commiserations to the crowd and commentators in equal measure

Where do we start..... The squad we picked gave me hope that finally the management were getting somewhere . When a previous poster then put the team down that he feared the management would select( and he was spot on)I admit i chuckled and thought even they wouldn't be that stupid..... We completely gambled on winning the toss and deservedly lost it, our team selection is so negative it is behind belief. One bowling bonus and 110 overs later I think this may have dawned on even the least sharp of our management team. So then the quest for quick runs and a guaranteed 5 bonus batting points given that the pitch is an absolute featherbed that allowed Kent to score 575 @ 3.62 runs per over. 33 overs and 69 runs later I'm absolutely flummoxed . We surely haven't sent the team out to bat the day out and bat for the draw . Bonus points are absolutely key and we needed to rattle along. We couldn't lose 20 wickets on this pitch in 9 sessions. Clearly the management don't believe in the players ability one bit . The first innings is for scoring bonus points and if , by some miracle , we can't get 425 on this pitch then the second innings is the time to bat out. I've been continuously perplexed all season by the managements decisions that I've got to say I've lost patience already and have written this season off . This is so poor and to think these guys even get paid for this, it's an utter shambles . Our squad is immensely talented and I much prefer watching our seconds ,where you get to see this talent . The chances of us having the season we've had with the ability within our squad was very slim , but the management have successfully pulled it off .
I already feel a bit better for venting my fury here !.

No-one else seems to give a damn, though I expect a few observations now the strong lager starts to kick in.

I'm sure most of the regular posters care very much, but this match is so totally soporific, we may need to wait until they wake up.

Fair enough, flashbade, but we are dire at present and are yet to prove that we care enough to save the game. Where are our batsmen?

Spot on Pipster.
Personally I'm getting sick of slating the same old mistakes and seeing the same old s**t. We are truly a dismal team being managed in the most inexplicable and baffling way.

It is official, we are not interested in points to get us out of this league . We have given up and are not trying. Absolutely shocking scenes. If we won our next 2 games against the top2 we'd have been right back in it but now I know for sure that the management and players aren't thinking this way. We'll put out the wrong team again and try and keep up our unbeaten record for the season. Utterly bizarre logic. We have just cruised to 291-7 off 110 overs and no one could be arsed to even slightly up the pace to get those extra 9 runs and a crucial batting point . NowI know we are not trying I'm not going to bother going to another game this season. We are the most negative side in the country , congratulations guys.

29 runs between 7 batsmen is absolutely pathetic. Can we put the idea of Ben Brown batting at 6 through the shredder! We need to pick six batsmen!

Unless things changed radically on Day 3, this is the tamest wicket on the planet. Hardly a ball beat that bat on Day 2. I started to feel that, at 62, I could probably play Rabada most of the time.
Obviously some batsmen are going to fail on any given day but when you only have 5 batsmen and one of those is Finch as opener, you are effectively crossing your fingers and hoping.
333 is a poor score on that track. We might still save this game but so what? It might have been if we had batted first but we might also have lost. Let's hope the temperature keeps rising and the Kent bowlers are fatigued so we can cling on to what's left for us to take.
