Why can't we have an honest statement from the CEO, Chairman or coach? ( not the DoC obviously because he'll be very busy eating lunch with the captain of backwater CC )
' We are sorry, this isn't good enough, there are plans in place and they are x y z '
Instead we have to assume that this is our lot. We who pay our membership, gate money, travel expenses etc to watch our club go down the swanny.
Is there anyone at Sussex with a backbone?

We are apparently going to strengthen the batting this winter. Yeah right, we have to find a couple of batsmen as good as Taylor and Joyce, just to stand still. How the hell are we going to improve

Two fine shots from Brown aind two snicks behind, the second of which was nicely caught. Now Wiese will show us how a "top 6 overseas player" (copyright fraudster) performs.

My point I think. Anyway Jofra is in now with Chris Gayle style scarket bandanna under his helmet so all should be well! To be serious for a minute, whilst the hemlock cocktails are being mixed, Cummins has bowled very well in the best West Indian tradition.

I feel sorry for the youngsters who are currently being introduced into the team. They have been pitched in at a time when morale, confidence and performance levels are at a staggeringly low ebb. The dressing room must be a miserable place, and I hope their careers aren't being jeopardised by this experience.

Youngsters introduced en masse into a side that isn't really competitive, is more likely to destroy the player, than rebuild a bright new future

Are we seeing a Caribbean Calypso resurgence? Certainly, the weather's up for it.

Sussex haven't been on top all season yet Whittingham, Garton and especially Archer have come in, taken their chance and hit the ground running. The only defence the young batters have is perhaps the lack of specialist coaching.

Goodness me. Worcestershire all out 194 having been 189 for 5. Just a matter of knocking off 272 to win. Time for someone to make a name for themselves.
