I think Sakande is preferred over Garton for the red ball stuff but if Robinson is still injured and Jordan away with England, they may both have to play. It depends whether we continue with only 4 bowlers and whether one of them is Briggs. There’s always Haines’ medium dibbly-dobblers and Wells leg spin to go to if required.

A good win, from what was, almost our first eleven An exaggeration of course, but if we had a competitive squad, a few of those players would be strutting their stuff in the seconds

Apparently Garton is injured, side strain, hence the new recruit Jared Warner from Yorkshire.

Apparently Garton is injured, side strain, hence the new recruit Jared Warner from Yorkshire. Shame. Chances don't come easy for young bowlers at Sussex so that's a blow. Ultimately, no loan signing should play ahead of a squad member of the same position, barring injury. It's a complete slap in the face and Sussex have been serial slappers for too long. So Sakande at least must play before this Warner lad, or the other one. Jordan should be available right? England's last game is Sunday and I doubt he'll play anyway. I'm thinking Wiese, CJ, Beer, Sak & Mir from seven down, if Robinson & Garton are out. I'm not often right though. P.S. I'm wholeheartedly sorry to the moderators for inexplicably veering off topic in my last couple of posts. Please don't tell me off, it hurts.

Hang on a gun-toting minute, what of Archer's availability? Hasn't exactly been over taxed with old Blighty has he?

Hang on a gun-toting minute, what of Archer's availability? Hasn't exactly been over taxed with old Blighty has he? England aren’t going to risk their new gun bowler before the WC in a 2nd div CC game. Jordan could be a no-show too as the final Eng v Pak game is tomorrow at Headingley. With Robinson and Garton injured that leaves us Hamza, Wiese and Sakande as the seam attack. Beer won’t play either, never does.

Since without the ECB's money Sussex and the other counties would cease to exist, as they are unable to operate on their own financial footing, yes.
I expect a the following thirteen to be named for Monday's game: Salt, Haines, Wells, Van Zyl, Evans, Brown, Burgess, Wiese, Briggs, Sakande, Hamza, Beer, Warner

England have released Jordan back to Sussex so he’ll be available for Northants. Told ya din I. It was obvious and I reckon Jordan may never play for England again, in any form. They can go elsewhere now. CP that's an awful side, you got Burgess doing sod all at seven and you got three bowlers and an all-rounder. The best thing about Weise is he allows us to play five bowlers, including himself, the all-rounder. We have to do that now and we totally should. Beer should be in for Briggs as that improves our wicket taking abilities and run scoring down the order. Sod economy, be fearless, take wickets. 1-60 off 30 or 4-80 off 20? Know what I prefer.

Remind me what team won at Durham? 100% certain Beer won't be selected.
