When everyone's fit and available we have as strong a team as anyone. I hope we can go all out for the win in these last few games.

ECB press release this afternoon says Anderson has been cleared to play v Sussex.
Most England players cleared to play the rest of the season, although Cook has been told not to play again this season.

Looking at the Lancashire squad, it doesn't look like a relegation squad. Think we'll. struggle to win this one

Horton, Brown, Khawaja, Prince, Croft, Buttler (+), Smith, Chapple, Parry, Anderson, Kerrigan. For Sussex it will be the above side I named with Beer / Zaidi coming for Tredwell.

If so, the respective captains need to consult over the toss, a fast car needs to be hired for four days and the problem swiftly solved. What a farce! Good idea, but not sure the brittle Sussex batting can be relied upon to make it work. What happens if Ed and Luke get out early and there is the usual collapse, leaving Tredders stranded betwixt and between, stuck in the queue to get back over the Dartford bridge?

Still no squad. Hollis's take on it all: Stephen Hollis stevehollis75 · 54m : Wonder if @sussexccc will play a spinner now Tredwell is not available. Could give Beer a try or Zaidi who took wickets in seconds last week Stephen Hollis stevehollis75 · 56m : When I spoke to Robbo last week he seemed very confident Tredwell would be with @sussexccc for final 3 games so something obviously changed Stephen Hollis stevehollis75 · 57m: James Tredwell named in @kentcricket squad tomorrow so his loan move to @sussexccc must have fallen through. Big blow that

Beero, leave for a county that will give you just a slightest chance if I were you. Shameful management.

But which county would give him regular championship games? Needs to be a county who have a front line seamer batting in the top six, so maybe only Warwickshire, Durham and Notts, with only the latter possibly having a vacancy

Realistically it won't be Warwickshire (Patel), Durham (Borthwick) or Notts if Beer leaves for pastures new it is more likely to be someone like Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Northants.
Returning to the squad named by Sussex it looks like a straight fight between Lewis, Piolet and Zaidi for the final position.
