Lm,
Totally agree. 140 runs for last two lanky wickets. This could come back to bite us what with Anderson firing on all cylinders. All down to the batsmen now. Any batting collapses tomorrow and we are in the doo-doo. The morning session may decide the game. 120-1 at lunch and Sussex are well in the match.

Not much comment on the game but then again I just about missed it. Stupid ECB and the stupid calendar this year - no point in me adding any as it has been said by those far more able than me.
We would be near the top of the division if we did not let teams score so many from five or six down. It happens time and time again. What do we need, a good leg spinner (I would have chosen Beer over Z), someone with pace/aggression? It just seems to happen almost every game. This one is particularly bad considering the importance of the game, 135-6 to 320 is not good.

Tempting goatmouth but can we reach 120-1 by lunch? Oops Jimmy returns to bowl. Will retract my comment.

Best to delete the post, fluffy! What is the status of a semi-retracted goatmouth? Is it like a perfect reverse swing Yorker off a no-ball? I don't think it was semi-retracted. Fluffy has only stated an intention to retract. For the avoidance of doubt, the original comment must be totally obliterated from the records. We are on dangerous territory, here.

Sounds like Nash threw his wicket away.

Sounds like Nash threw his wicket away. Well the guy batted for three hours, so applied himself well to the task. Three hours is a marathon for Nash!

Any idea of retraction was merely a conspiracy of fact. 157-1 until Nash gave away his wicket. Will 100 ever materialise this season? 246-2 and the perfect script continues to play out. Only Cachopa breathes a sigh of relief after Buttler misses the simplest of stumpings. The next prediction and Sussex reach 470 and 150 ahead. Goatmouth do your worst! Edit. Eek, Cachopa out caught in the slips off Jimmy. But Wrighty in...

S&F - you probably said it on purpose. You wanted a nice tight finish in the gloom on Friday evening Me, I would have liked 600-3 declared 293-5 and in free-fall Doomed I say, Doomed and now LM and chips in - We are definitely being hosed
