An excellent comeback to finish off a poor day before then. Onto the batters now. Orr out for around another 6 weeks. Hopefully fit and ready to go for the start of the 50 over. I heard that Orr was out for 8-12 weeks.
A good last hour in an otherwise poor day.
I'm sorry but i really cant agree it was a poor day. Yes we may not have got the wickets but i thought the bowlers stuck to the task well on a very flat wicket. Sometimes you have to give credit to the batters and that Libby knock was one of the best you'll see. The spirit from the lads all day was superb, always being noisy and backing each other up. You get days like this but it certainly wasn't a poor performance.

There was a period when Libby and Hose were batting they were going at 6/7 an over. They put on nearly 200 runs in 30 overs. I’d call that poor.
Why didn’t Coles come on earlier? He’s the only left arm option so should have been used more.

Again i'd disagee, im assuming you were there? 2 set batters against a tired attack on a very warm day this happens a lot in modern 4 day cricket. Hose is an aggressive player and we were unlucky 3 or 4 of the looser shots didnt go to hand. We lost a crucial toss on this pitch and if we bat well 2nd time around we have a good chance.

Another observation made yesterday that Finn was working with the bowlers and not Kirtley.
I'm wondering if anything has gone on and he is no longer with the county.

410 all out as Karvelas gets Libby who falls 2 short of his 200.

Just struck me as strange Finn was working with the bowlers at Lunch and i couldnt see Kirtley in and around the net practice either.

All the good work undone in 3 overs as we lose 4 wickets for 4 runs.
Effectively 85/4

Decent game of cricket this is setting up to be.
This team rarely folds these days and have battle hard through out this match.
Given the quality of player we have unavailable in this fixture, I'm really pleased with the direction this team is going in.

What do we think here? Reckon they have a number of runs or a number of overs in mind?
