You can get 9/2 on Sussex now. Put your shirt on it, and you can have 4.5 shirts later.

Unfortunately there’s a 4 ball in every over so can’t build up any pressure. Not looking like a wicket anytime soon.

PHEW. That was tense. I am so pleased we didn't lose that one.

Proper excellent game of cricket that, well done Sussex, you didn’t deserve to lose though I’m not sure how Worcs managed not to win, nerves I guess! Really pleased for Tom Allsop, the declaration was a very tricky decision.

A fantastic advertisement for county cricket. I was lucky enough to be there for the first three days. Well done to both Worcestershire and Sussex.

Alsop owes McAndrew and Karvelas a large drink because without their superb bowling at the end we would have lost. The Sussex players deserve a lot of credit for fighting to the very end defending a below par target.

I’m not sure how Worcs managed not to win D'oliviera 3 off 10 balls. Worcestershire captain needs to drop himself.

How did everyone's nerves hold up?
Fantastic game.
I felt for Alsop, whatever he did there was going to be criticism. He needed to declare with enough overs left to have a chance of taking ten wickets, countered against the risk of a Hove wicket that for some reason seemingly gets easier for batting on the final day.
Overall, I believe he did well in the role. If I was nit picking, I would question why he didn't bowl Haines today and why we didn't have a third man in place to stop some unnecessary boundaries in the latter overs. I reiterate, nit picking.
Important we got at least a draw, primarily as they are promotion rivals. This could have come back to haunt us if we had lost and at the end of the season missed out on promotion by one place and a handful of points. Even more so, if Worcestershire were the team that finished second.
You have to hand it to this side though, they have come on leaps and bounds over the last three seasons. Would we have drawn this match last season? Questionable. Would we have drawn it two seasons ago? Unlikely.
We are not quite the finished article yet. The bowling unit still needs strengthening, Carson is still on his journey to become a top class spinner and possibly we need another experienced middle order batter.
But, we are definitely on an upward trend and returning to the first division now feels a real possibility.

The Sussex players deserve a lot of credit for fighting to the very end defending a below par target. Surrey chased down 500 you need to wise up to modern cricket. It wasn't a below par total we gambled to win and we would have a shot in the last 3 balls if the correct call was given

I would call that a miracle result for Sussex.
A win for Worcestershire looked a cert as the afternoon unwound. Well done to the bowlers though, for changing the match course and creating the Worcester nerves at the end, for we certainly didn't deserve to lose the game. A draw was a fair result, imho.
Meanwhile, the Sussex batting remains strong, even after the loss of Pujara, and praise must be heaped on Grant Flower for his stirling efforts.
Sadly though, the bowling is still not good enough to get us promotion, in my view, even after piling on the O/S option.

Thanks for the mention a brilliant effort to chase down 501!! You guys have improved a lot this season showing guts and skill in every CC game. Just need to turn those draws into wins. I think PF needs to bring at least one bowler in on loan. We have some good bowlers who cannot get in our team!
