Given the variable bounce, Harms keeps stating that anything over 200 runs and the Sussex batsman will find the score difficult to chase down. With VDP not able to bat in the second innings, the time has come for our senior batsmen like Nash and Wright to come to the fore. Well chosen expression, fluffy. Many of our less erudite contributors (including me) would have been tempted to urge them to "step up to the plate". How about "screw their courage to the sticking place"?

Where would we be without Jofra Archer this season?

Where would we be without Jofra Archer this season? The only cliche I can think of is "up s*** creek without a paddle".

Why is it that last wicket stands are such fun when they are in your favour but make you feel like tearing your hair out when the opposition flourish? Please let's not have Messrs Chappell and Klein spoil our day. We are quite capable, of course, of doing that in other ways.

Where would we be without Jofra Archer this season? Hope he's got a five year contract.

232 to win. Let us hope the Sussex senior batsmen come to the fore to thank Archer for his 11 wickets. Harms believes this a tricky run chase. It will certainly challenge the batters.

Leicestershire are favourites. They shouldn't be, four sessions to get 232, we'd have taken that at the start of the game

The averages are interesting reading. The RLODC batting averages are quite different from the CC averages. Also, interesting to note that Jofra has bowled almost twice as many overs as anyone else.

A good day for Sussex, dragged it back after the disaster with the bat yesterday afternoon.
Still plenty of work to do but I make us just favourites.
Archer is making me proud to follow this team, what a hero!

Archer is making me proud to follow this team, what a hero! Absolutely, in fact the bowlers have dragged us back into it, first of all with their batting, and then by dismissing the hosts for under 200
