Looking at that table we are up with Notts on the bonus bowling points but fall 10 short in the batting. 10 points could be the difference between promotion or 3rd place.

Jeez, the doomongers on this forum! Sussex have won 3 out of the last4 championship matches. Let's give the team some credit when they deserve it!

That's a big OOPS! I still think that losing twice to Kent will cost promotion hopes, but those extra 16 points make it look a bit better.

Hi all. As per a previous post I was at Grace Road for the Friday and Saturday. For a day and a half we got battered but from 3.15 on Saturday the tide began to change. CJ Vernon and Danny all battled away until close of play.
Mr A then turned on the style yet again rushing them through to set up a run chase today. Huge congrats to Luke W on seeing us through to victory.
This victory owes much to periods of true grit, pride and punishing hard work. While Jofra will deservedly receive the lions share of the plaudits for his 11 wickets for me Vernon P gets my man of the match for a truly vital knock on Saturday afternoon. His 73 not out (batting at 9) proved to be the turning point of the game. I am sure we all wish him good luck as he leaves us this week.
I think Mark D could be the real deal here at Hove. Always positive, always has a smile on his face and now seems to getting a fine tune from his players.
Club on the March !!

You're not a doom monger if a doom situation stares you in the face. It was a terrible end to the last season combined with a similar start to this one. The team might as well have just met in the car park. Luke didn't resign the Captaincy because his missus needed him to change more nappies. The ODs were not good. However, all credit for regrouping and, so far, so good. This was a GOOD win. VP turned into a great all round performer when he got used to the system and it's a shame he's gone. I think we'll do well to finish third but still time for anything to happen. T20 is another club. The boys done good!

Who cares. I know he was a hero on here, handsome too it's said, but frankly he got on my nerves. Smart-arse.
Anywho, I've said a few less than complimentary things of late, moaning, doom-mongering, some might say, so credit where credit's due, you can't argue with wins. Hopefully it's no flash in the pan, next one's a biggie. Wells has been phenomenal since coming back. We missed him at the start alright. Archer, speechless.
You want a bowler now JB? Let's give the opportunity to Whittingham and Garton, between them. People are being a bit harsh on Jordan for me. I've every confidence he'll produce more with a few more games under the belt. He's always been a 0-80, 5-50 kinda guy. A match winner.
