Almost certainly. There’s every chance he’s played his last game for the club.

No, but it affected him playing for England. Ollie's personal life his ultimately his personal life. He's allowed to be in a relationship with who he wants. From what i gether so far the ECB have released him for 2 games at the moment.

Surely it all depends if he is in the right state of mind mentally ? If yes, great. If not, he won’t be playing. That is what I meant , by saying will it affect him playing in the remaining county games.

Stokes didnt want the attention during the ashes so he was dropped for the last 2 tests.

Robinson should play all 4 of your CC games. England don’t play tests again until Jan 2024. If the ECB say he needs resting Farbrace should tell them that’s a disgrace.

Robinson tends to do his own thing. He might take out a frustrating summer on Gloucs, Leics and the rest, and collect a few fivefers. Or he might not be arsed to play, If that’s the case, there’ll be some injury excuse or other.

Again thats not true, 2 games this season he declared himself available only to be pulled out by the ECB.

I have enjoyed watching Robinson bust a gut for Sussex in many games, carrying the attack for years. just saying there have been one or two dubious injury pull outs over the years. added to that, I get the impression England-contracted players generally have a take it or leave it approach to county cricket. Hopefully he will be fired up for the remaining matches, although I’m not convinced Division One is the best place for us next season.

The Times is reporting that Robinson is out for the rest of the season. No great surprise there. Been a lousy year for him with next to nothing contributed to Sussex.

In terms of his Sussex future, he signed a three-year contract extension in feb 2020. Presumably that extension ran 2021-23. He has his England contract but players still have deals with their counties. So that could well be it for Ollie and Sussex. Wouldn’t be surprised if he signed for a London club.

Does feel like the relationship between Sussex and Robinson is at a low ebb (familiar story) so he might be on his way out, as you say. Not much demand for centrally contracted players though, especially ones with fitness problems.

He even missed a game due to toothache last season!
