The announcement last night that he has all but signed an extension should tell the club all they need to know about communication.
Farbrace has given us a clear update on his injury and conract situation this should stop any false speculation. Why is this so hard on all other news events they seem to avoid telling us?

I suspect the contract wasn't agreed before the points deductions and suspensions, so they are now waiting for the result this week and if we don't win it'll get announced straight away. If we do win it'll be held back until next week when the World Cup coverage begins and cricket is front and centre of the sports news so therefore good PR for the club as people will be engaging with more cricket content and the 'casual fan' (despise that term) will get the impression that Sussex are a club on the up. Like I said on another thread a few days ago, everything is about deflecting attention away from the bad news, and the club still think they're getting it right. Gang of parasites. |

Good news indeed. And going forwards, we need greater clarity from the club as to his fitness and the ECB needs to release him appropriately to play for his county. |

Unfortunately the batting success hasn’t yet been carried over into his bowling but then it is absurd, in the modern game, that players are expected to drop in and perform immediately at Test match level when they haven’t played cricket for months. |
