The truth is he’s made himself look a bit of a plonker with some of his exploits and comments. I appreciate he’s pretty harmless and obviously not one of life’s great intellects but he definitely needs some guidance. Such a huge talent is a waste if his off field shenanigans affects his cricket. He needs to be playing because that’s when he gets into the best rhythm and takes a shedload of wickets. I hope we see a lot of him in a Sussex shirt this season, I believe our promotion depends on it. Correct Joe, but that has nothing to do with social media. Guidance and management is needed. |

As expected Ollie has lost his central contract. On one hand this is very good news for us but we will now be liable to pay his substantial wage bill, although I think there’s a percentage payed by the ECB for the first year. This will have an effect on our recruitment and is probably why we won’t be adding to the squad in the closed season.
