Poor bloke can’t catch a break! I wonder if his back stiffness is a symptom of Covid?

What has happened to Ollie Robinson? In his Times article today `Mike Atherton lists the injured England fast bowlers, but does not include Robinson. Instead he refers to the “curiously absent” Ollie Robinson. It’s been a while since his name has even been seen on the Sx website in any Team News. Has he retired from the game?

Back injury out until August.

Clearly that news hasn’t reached Atherton…. He suggests some mystery is involved.

There are rumours that Ollie is leaving Sussex for Warwickshire.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he left especially if he loses his central contract because he’s bound to be on a huge salary.
Warwickshire would probably be the county of choice because of course his step dad is there.

That's a real shame if true Joe. I was hoping Sussex would get Robinson back firing on all cylinders to prove he can get his England spot back. Do you think it is purely financial?

Robinson has been out all season (back, covid, food poisioning and tooth have I missed any?). When he loses his England central contract we don't want to paying his six figure salary. Lets replace him with someone who can stay fit.

I really don’t know but if you were him would you want to stay? He’ll want to go to a test match ground if he does go. With the emergence of Potts and Jamie Overton he’s not flavour of the month any more.

He also needs to stay fit as he has been out for most of the season although I bet he will be fit for the Hundred! If he does go Warwickshire looks a likely destination.

No ambition no point, loyalty only goes so far. If we don't change the club killers at the top Orr & Haines will be next. And why wouldn't they? Do you wanna play at the bottom of Div 2 with a blatant lack of aspiration to improve or do you wanna go & play at a proper cricket club. Like what we used to be.
A very simple thing like signing an OS bowler in the last few weeks does more than it may seem. It tells people like Robinson that we're chasing promotion. That can be the difference in a decision. What do our players see in the club now? Mass exodus & zero ambition. It has to stop.
GET ANDREW OUT

We are out of the promotion race and have been for at least two months. To be honest I am not bothered if Robinson leaves because we haven't seen him this season. I am more than happy to see Warwickshire rather Sussex pay him to sit on the side lines with Covid, dental, back or food poisoning. I cannot see him or Archer retaining their ECB contracts for 2022/23. Can Sussex afford to add £300K to their wage bill for little or no return?

So he's no longer an Original? That was short lived.
